Is it going to be quicker to boot into 250GB first, and uninstall software, or copy it over, and uninstall it once I've got it on the SSD? There is quite a bit of software on the 250GB drive which is out of date, and could be uninstalled. So I'm also looking at ways to speed up the transfer. It was painfully slow, despite only transferring 220GB - like a day and a half. It was connected via Firewire 800 (the USB enclosure on drive has stopped working) into iMac, then I used SuperDuper! to copy the clone to the T5, which is also connected to iMac (with USB).
